Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Canadian Certified Counsellor

If you’re looking for a judgement free space to share your feelings and concerns, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re looking for support from someone who understands how hard it can be to reach out for help, I’m here for you. I’ve always known I wanted to dedicate myself and my career to making a difference in people’s lives. I started out as a teacher, completing my training in education with a focus on French and theatre arts. Having taught students of all ages for the past several years, I continue to enjoy sharing my love of language and the creative arts but I’ve also discovered a particular passion for supporting my students and colleagues with their mental health. It was that passion that led me to complete a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and become a psychotherapist. I believe in approaching every therapy session with an open heart and an affirming, non-judgmental stance. I endeavour to create a safe space for you to share your past experiences, gain new perspectives, and to re-evaluate old beliefs and thinking patterns that are no longer serving you. While I enjoy working with all people, I have a particular passion for helping two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (2SLGBTQ+) youth and adults navigate their sexuality, relationships, gender and sexual minority identities and the accompanying distress and trauma caused by living in a cis-heteronormative world. As a cisgender gay man I draw upon my lived experience as I offer support to members of queer and trans communities. I also draw upon my lived experience to serve those navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief and loss, work stress, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I have experience and training in working with several therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy, as well as mindfulness based approaches. I am bilingual and offer counselling services in both English and French. Outside of work, I can be found playing Dungeons and Dragons, performing in and producing musical theatre, and spending time at home with my cat, Patrick. I invite you to book an initial consultation with me if you’d like to explore working together. I look forward to the possibility of partnering with you on your mental wellness and relationship goals.
