Connor Delaney
Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
Starting treatment is often daunting and scary, which is why I make it my top priority to foster a comfortable and secure connection between myself and the client, as this relationship becomes the foundation for support and healing. To foster this bond, I do my best to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore one’s concerns and challenges. As your therapist, I strive to create a safe environment to process and explore challenging emotions, traumas, and events with the goal of navigating towards a better future.
I work in private practice providing individual mental health services to individuals of all genders and identities. My areas of focus include anxiety, interpersonal challenges, depression, grief, identity navigation, self-esteem, and life transitions. As a queer, trauma-informed therapist, my practice is grounded in anti-oppression and harm reduction.
I use a humanistic approach and utilize an emotion-focused therapeutic orientation, while drawing influence from cognitive behaviour therapy(CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy(ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy(DBT), as well as mindfulness to formulate a personalized treatment plan tailored to meeting your goals and needs. I wish you the best of luck!
