Rina Johnson
Somatic Trauma Informed Counsellor and Trauma Integration Clinician
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, personal relationships, mood shifts, insecurity, grief or painful memories rooted in trauma, you shouldn't have to work through it alone. I create a safe and supportive environment where I help you learn how to manage your emotions, understand yourself better, build healthy relationships, and change the way you think to help you heal and grow.
Drawing from modalities such as Attachment-Based Therapy, Somatic Trauma-Informed/Trauma-Focused approaches, Mindfulness practices, and other holistic healing methods, I tailor our sessions to honour your unique lived experiences. We'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, ensuring that your journey towards healing is empowering and transformative.
I specialize in trauma-focused counselling, particularly with adult survivors of sexual abuse, new immigrants, survivors of war trauma, and clients navigating LGBTQ issues. My dedication is to support you in reclaiming your power and finding inner peace on your journey to healing.
As an identifying member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and my childhood personal narrative as a refugee, I implement an anti-oppressive framework from a relatable platform. I strive to empower individuals to build a healthy and loving relationship with oneself, cultivate resilience, self-acceptance, and authenticity on their path to healing and growth.
