Dr. Tara Masseratagah
Registered Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Masseratagah (she/her) works with adults and adolescents. She honours the diversity of her clients’ cultural backgrounds, gender identities, and sexualities, and she has experience working with minorities from these communities. Her areas of clinical focus include anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, perfectionism, depression, insomnia, trauma, and stressor related disorders, and body image related issues. The clinical frameworks she formulates from are Cognitive Behavioural and Exposure Based Therapies, Relational Cultural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Client Centred Therapies. She takes an integrative and collaborative approach when working with clients to help them reach their therapeutic goals.
Dr. Masseratagah received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England (Psy.D.). Her research has focused on intercultural relationships and cultural factors in mental health. She completed her clinical residency in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba. There she focused on working with anxiety disorders, perinatal occurring disorders, and with adolescents. She also has received training at the LUK Crisis Center, Keene State College and the Antioch Psychological Services Center.
