Kate Drohan
Psychotherapist and Registered Social Service Worker with the O.C.S.W.S.S.W
Hi, my name is Kate Drohan. I am a Psychotherapist and a Registered Social Service Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (O.C.S.W.S.S.W.). My passion is helping others navigate the complexities of their minds and emotions.
I bring more than a decade of experience, during which I've refined my skills across diverse therapeutic methods. These approaches have been a ray of hope to numerous individuals facing challenges like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and addictions.
In my therapy sessions, I offer a unique blend of approaches, a tapestry woven from threads of humanistic and strength-focused techniques intertwined with elements of psychodynamic, mindfulness, trauma awareness, cognitive behavioral, existential, and somatic practices. This blend, crafted over years of experience, offers a personalized and holistic path to healing. I also adeptly weave in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, adapting them to suit each client's unique needs on their wellness journey.
Psychotherapy isn't just my career—it's a passion I deeply connected with early on. My work's motivation stems from witnessing my clients' profound transformations and observing them transition from grappling with challenges to flourishing.
