Baby on the way? Little ones running your life? Trying to conceive? Nest Integrative Wellness is a perinatal and family focused allied health clinic in the heart of Edmonton that offers a full range of therapy (and non-therapy) services.
Our mental health therapists are specially trained and knowledgeable regarding perinatal mental health, postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, couples counselling, grief, and loss.
Adding a whole new person to the world and your life is a HUGE adjustment, and we are here to help you every step of the way. We offer in person and virtual appointments, the ability to bring your baby to your therapy appointment, a cozy atmosphere, and direct billing to most major insurance providers.
Our mental health team includes:
- Priya Gill (Registered Provisional Psychologist)
Priya is a Registered Provisional Psychologist keen interest in working with and supporting individuals who are making their transitions into motherhood. This includes perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, birth trauma, identity, grief and loss, intimacy and relationships. She has obtained advanced certificate training through Postpartum Support International and is working towards her PMH-C.
Priya also works with individuals impacted by sexual violence and trauma, childhood abuse, couples, and those who have been in motor vehicle accidents. Priya also supports individuals faced with intergenerational trauma, racial trauma, cultural identity, and newcomer/immigrant mental health – many unique challenges that individuals within BIPOC communities face. Priya practices from a trauma-informed, attachment-based, feminist and culturally informed lens. She uses an integrated approach and practices from multiple modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Ego-State/Parts Work, Hakomi/Somatic Therapy, Person-Centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Practice.
- Malisa Morris (MSW, RSW)
Malisa is an accomplished Registered Social Worker with an empathetic approach to support individuals dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, parenting, relationships, anger, and grief. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness techniques, she empowers individuals to heal and rewrite their life stories. Malisa is fluent in English and Cantonese and offers sessions in both.
