About
Whether you're having difficulty navigating changes in life, reducing your stress or anxiety, working through your trauma, better managing and understanding your ADHD, wanting to be able to handle conflict and set boundaries, or just need to start with sharing your story in a confidential, safe setting, I would love to work with you in these areas I specialize in, among several others.
Biography
I have a Masters in clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary, where our coursework was focused on supporting individuals and families with mental health challenges from a holistic perspective, considering a range of factors such as environmental stressors, history, and practical supports and interventions. I have trained in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, solution-focused therapy (SFT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Level 1 and Level 2. I have also taken a variety of trainings focused on trauma-informed care, family violence, suicide and safety assessment/planning, cultural sensitivity training, LGBTQ2S+ affirming care, ADHD strategies, mindfulness interventions, among other topics. I am also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), which means I have specialized training for providing treatment and support for individuals struggling with ADHD. In my leisure time, I enjoy exercising, gardening, and spending time with my family.
