I work with kids, teens, adults and families struggling with a range of issues, and I individualize my approach for each client. However, above all I use a person-centered approach, striving to create a safe, judgment-free space for you to share your story, problems, and goals with me so that I can help you make changes, both within and outside of yourself, that can improve your mental wellbeing. As a person with South Asian heritage, I can relate to and understand clients with a similar cultural background. I am particularly experienced in working with children and adolescents as well as young adult women in their 20s or 30s. The issues I am most able to help with include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, neurodivergence (ADD/ADHD and Autism) and major life changes or transitions, relationship issues, and family issues among other common struggles. I draw from a range of modalities for individual therapy, including CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Person-centered, and Attachment based. I also like to integrate mindfulness where appropriate, as practicing mindfulness-based techniques can be a very valuable coping mechanism for a number of issues.
