Anneta Manful

Hello! I'm Anneta; a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and the proud owner of Embrace Psychological Services. I was born in Ghana and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario in my early teens. I moved to Calgary in late 2007 however the city of Airdrie has been home since summer 2016. I offer counselling support to individual adults, couples, and parents. I specialize in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, healthy relationships, grief and loss, trauma, PTSD and parenting. My passion for working with individuals and couples stems from an interest in exploring the relationships we have with ourselves and others. Using evidence based techniques, my goal is to walk alongside clients as we explore ways to help better understand themselves and feel fulfilled. I’m constantly inspired by my clients’ courage and positive intention for change and personal growth. I strive to be non-judgmental, empathic, and respectful; fully dedicated to providing a warm, safe and trusting space to address concerns. A strong therapeutic relationship is based on collaboration and the ability to capitalize on each clients’ strengths – these are key components I use in helping clients achieve meaningful change in their lives. I believe that together we can help you achieve a greater sense of well-being in your unique journey. On a personal note, when I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, but also ensure I have moments of solitude. I love cooking spicy foods, listening and dancing to music, and engage in other self-care activities like walking and meditation. I look forward to meeting and working with you soon!
