Jen Chan

Hello, my name is Jen, and I’m here to support you in owning your story and reconnecting with your most authentic self. I believe healing begins in spaces where we feel safe, seen, and supported, and my goal is to co-create that space with you. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the corporate world, which gave me a deep understanding of the challenges of balancing ambition, caregiving, identity, and change. As a second-generation Chinese Canadian, a partner to a first responder, and a mother, I also bring a lived understanding of cultural identity, shifting roles, and navigating complex expectations. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, cultural identity exploration, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, self-esteem and personal growth, workplace stress, and youth and adolescent issues. My integrative, client-centred approach draws from Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, yoga-informed therapy, and somatic-informed practice. Alongside my counselling work, I am a yoga and mindfulness teacher, with training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). These practices continue to shape my belief in the mind–body connection and the healing that becomes possible when we learn to listen inward.
