Genny Tevlin
MSW, RSW
When I meet a new client, I make space to appreciate the strength, bravery and insight that went into making it to the therapy room. I know therapy can feel scary, so I strive to create a comfortable, cozy and safe space for folks to explore who they are and connect to themselves in new and healing ways. My gentle, direct and down to earth approach as well as extensive training allows me to work with those who have had any form of trauma including vicarious trauma and burnout. My approach works well with those who are feeling stuck in patterns of behaviours or relationships or for those who want to build self-esteem and self-worth.

I use a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic modalities to help clients explore and heal their inner worlds. By understanding and connecting with different parts of the self, alongside tuning into the body’s sensations, we work together to release stored trauma, foster emotional integration, and cultivate self-compassion for lasting growth.
My approach values and celebrates diversity and perceives the human relationship as the most important part of the therapeutic process. When things feel overwhelming I can help you in holding that weight and work in collaboration towards strategies to increase well-being & self-acceptance and decrease the impacts or legacy past trauma has left on your life.
