Laura Clarke
Registered Psychotherapist
Do you struggle with mood regulation, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, or find yourself relying on unhelpful coping strategies that leave you stuck in a painful cycle? Do you often feel disconnected from yourself, your body, or your relationships? You're not alone and your struggles are valid.
I’m a registered psychotherapist with a passion for helping individuals uncover their resilience, reconnect with their inner selves, and move toward a more empowered and fulfilling life. I offer a warm, conversational, and non-judgmental space where you can safely explore the emotional patterns and life experiences that may be impacting your current wellbeing.
My approach is rooted in a trauma-informed and integrative framework. I use a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Somatic-Based Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I also hold specialized training in sex therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and trauma, and have experience supporting clients with issues related to attachment, body image, disordered eating, and building healthier coping strategies.
I aim to help you expand emotional regulation strategies so you can feel more grounded, create space to process and explore your emotional experience, and develop insight into the unconscious drives and root wounds that impact your daily functioning and relationship patterns.
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning after a break, I recognize how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to reach out. That’s why I strive to create a space that feels more like an open conversation than a clinical session - one built on trust, compassion, and collaboration.
Outside the therapy room, I’m committed to ongoing professional development and staying grounded in current best practices. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, build deeper self-awareness, and move toward lasting healing. Let’s connect - I’d love to learn more about you.
