Susan Merli

Many people who seek therapy are capable and successful in many areas of their lives, yet still feel overwhelmed by stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or important life transitions. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. Susan Merli is a Registered Psychotherapist, executive coach, and founder of Authentika Psychotherapy and Counselling and Authentika Consulting. She works with adults, professionals, and leaders who want to better understand themselves, manage anxiety and stress, and create meaningful change in their personal and professional lives. Before becoming a psychotherapist, Susan spent more than three decades in leadership, human resources, and disability management within Canada’s financial services sector. That experience gave her a deep understanding of workplace pressure, burnout, and the complex demands many professionals face. Today, she integrates psychotherapy and coaching to help clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move forward with greater confidence. Susan holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Her approach is collaborative, client-centred, and grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. Susan believes that each person carries an inner compass that can guide meaningful change. Therapy becomes a supportive space to rediscover that direction and move forward with greater clarity and authenticity.
