About

I am passionate about helping people whose emotions have been in the driver's seat for too long, whether that be anxiety, shame, stress, or one of countless others. I emphasize learning and integrating skills to forge a healthy relationship with our emotions, something we have not all had the opportunity to develop. I work with anxiety, trauma, highly sensitive individuals, OCD, and ADHD.

Biography

I have been providing therapy for 9 years in both the private and public sectors, and I have been involved in the broader helping profession for 17 years. I have always strongly believed in paying forward the support that has been offered to me throughout my life which is what led me to pursue a career in psychology. I love talking to people, hearing their story, and working together to balance acceptance of who we are with change that is meaningful and lasting. I specialize in offering treatment informed by CBT, DBT, and ART. I have experience working with highly sensitive individuals, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, stress, depression, OCD, ADHD, grief, burn-out, and emotion dysregulation. I additionally have an interest working with parents of highly sensitive kids/teens. I put a strong emphasis on learning and integrating skills to forge a healthy relationship with our emotions. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and I am passionate about unravelling the puzzle and shifting the pieces to fit for each unique person and circumstance. Outside of the world of psychology, I love spending time with my wife and kids, I play guitar and sing, and I am an avid video game player (when time allows!).
