Ebube Ojukwu
Canadian Certified Counselor (CCC)
My name is Ebube Ojukwu, and I am a Nigerian Canadian. Canada has been my second home for the past 14years. I received my BA degree in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg and pursued my MA in Counseling at Providence University College and Theological Seminary.
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor by the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapists Association, which also holds me accountable and ensures my clients are getting the optimum care that they deserve. I know this may sound very scholastic, so I will give you more of the in-between’s:
I have garnered over 10+ years of experience in the mental health field ranging from my experience as a youth care practitioner, to supporting individuals living with disability, to working as a sexual assault and crisis counselor, and currently as a psychotherapist.
My goal through EARO Wellness is to meet people where they are at and support them with the enormous benefits that counseling provides, regardless of the intensity of distress they might be experiencing. I also understand that life continues to throw curve balls: some we see coming and others, like Miley Cyrus sang about, hits us like a wrecking ball. In those moments, doing life alone is the last thing your mental health deserves.
Okay, now that we are done with all the professional stuff, something a little light and airy.
Finally, when I am not screaming about the importance of mental health and wellness, I love travelling, restaurant hopping and spending quality time with family and friends but when those activities get too expensive (thanks to inflation), I am the best homebody life has ever created.
Thank you for reading this far because this was definitely a long story. I look forward to working with you as you embark on the fruitful journey of healing, self-awareness, and self-actualization.
