Biography

You've started re-thinking the way your childhood went. You've realized that not all families functioned like yours and have started to question - "Was what I went through as normal as I thought it was?". This moment can bring about all sorts of confusion, guilt, frustration, and hurt about the way that we were raised. At Everworth Counselling, I help adults who grew up in emotionally chaotic homes, with emotionally immature parents, and/or with childhood trauma to better understand their upbringing, how it impacted them, and where to go from here. My name's Meg! Specializing in attachment and complex/developmental trauma, I'm here to help you heal those old attachment wounds, choose healthier love, find steadiness, stop ignoring your needs, and start feeling like yourself again (or maybe for the first time). Therapy with me in a nutshell: ᯽ I help you untangle the impact of growing up in unpredictable or emotionally confusing environments. ᯽ I help you heal old relationship patterns so you can choose love that feels safe, mutual, and real. ᯽ I help adult children of emotionally immature parents stop shrinking themselves in relationships and second-guessing their inner experience. ᯽ I help you stop walking on eggshells and start trusting your own needs.
