Kathryn Flynn

Who do I see? All ages of children/youth, adults, couples and families. What concerns do I work with? Trauma, CPTSD/developmental trauma, attachment issues, adoption/kids in foster care, parenting support, relationship injuries, anxiety/depression, communication difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), postpartum depression (PPD), and life transitions. Having a long and rich relationship with the somatic and mindfulness practices of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and a passion for learning, I practice holistic, compassionate therapy that finds inspiration and value in a diversity of approaches, including a diversity of somatic therapy, such as Yoga Nidra and Brainspotting. I love working with both mind and body! Starting my journey as a therapist in Ottawa, I specialized in attachment theory counselling and trauma therapy with children, adults, families and couples. I discovered the joy in offering therapy for kids and supporting other parents on their journey. My clients describe my presence as compassionate, lighthearted, and thoughtful. I am deeply committed to transforming lives through the power of trusting relationships. I believe that psychology is about understanding and improving our relationships with ourselves, others, our minds, and the world around us. In addition to my therapeutic work, I'm a loving mama to an energetic, expressive kiddo. I enjoy staying active, spending quality time with friends and family, puttering around antique stores and savoring the outdoors in my own unique "indoorsy-moved-outside" way, as a Toronto transplant to Ottawa.
