Niru Balasubramaniam
Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker
Our lives are shaped by a range of experiences—challenges, pressures, transitions, and triumphs—that all deserve to be acknowledged and understood. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply ready for change, therapy can be a powerful space for insight, healing, and growth.
My goal is to create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where you can feel heard and supported. I believe in meeting you where you are, working together to explore your experiences, and helping you reconnect with your strengths. Therapy is not about “fixing” you—it’s about empowering you to live with more clarity, intention, and self-compassion.
My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, meaning I see you as the expert in your life. I draw from evidence-based modalities that are tailored to your individual needs, integrating tools from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I also recognize that therapy is not one-size-fits-all—your story, cultural background, values, and identity matter deeply, and I strive to create a space that feels safe, inclusive, and affirming.
You don’t have to face things alone. Reaching out for help is a courageous first step, and I’m here to walk alongside you in that process. Together, we can explore what’s getting in the way, reconnect with what matters most to you, and build a path forward that feels meaningful and sustainable.
If you’re curious about how we might work together, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free consultation and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
