Sawyer Hick
Family Therapist
I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them reconnect with their strengths, improve communication, and foster meaningful change. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in modalities such as Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe that growth and change often happen when you work within the whole system, rather than just part of it.
I have a diverse educational background, as well as four years of clinical experience that has prepared me to support clients from all different walks of life. After completing 8.5 years of University, I obtained a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Study of Addiction, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Child and Youth Care. I have previous experience supporting clients in addiction and mental health, children and youth counselling, as well as providing perinatal counselling to women.
