Sarah Tremblett is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). She holds a Master of Social Work from McGill University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and is a PhD student at Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty of Social Work. Sarah works with children (age 6+), youth, parents, individuals, and families who are seeking support with challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, family transitions, and trauma. Sarah approaches counselling individualized, compassionate perspective. She uses evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), play and art-based therapy, and mindfulness techniques from a trauma-informed approach to create a safe space where clients are supported in achieving their personal counselling goals. Sarah has also completed training in the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) model for supporting children and youth who have experienced trauma. Sarah uses a flexible and relational approach to support children and youth with expressing their emotions, developing positive coping skills, and building emotional resilience. Sarah understands the importance of supporting families. In addition to working with children, she collaborates closely with parents and caregivers to help them understand their child’s needs, improve communication, and strengthen family dynamics.
