Joanna Brubacher

Hi, I’m Joanna. I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to navigate conflict, feel stuck in painful patterns, and long for support that truly helps. Over the years, I’ve come to believe that healing happens when we feel seen, respected, and safe enough to share the full truth of our experiences. I grew up in a community rooted in peacemaking, and for over 15 years, I’ve worked alongside people with diverse abilities and support needs. As a queer parent who has moved through divorce and co-parenting, I bring both lived experience and clinical training to my work with individuals, couples, and families. In therapy, I offer a calm presence, empathic listening, and a relational, trauma-informed approach. I use narrative and strength-based tools to help clients explore what’s shaped them, reconnect with their own inner wisdom, and build a future that feels more grounded and connected. In our work together, you’ll have space to share your story, name your hopes or fears, and decide what kind of support feels right for you. You don’t need to have it all figured out—we’ll figure it out together.
