Biography

I am a Somatic, Expressive Arts, Focusing Oriented Eco-Therapist, Canadian Certified Counsellor, and Canadian Clinical Supervisor with a Master’s of Education in Disability Studies. I offer embodied, experiential and playful forms of counselling in person with individuals of all ages - from toddler to elder - who are navigating grief, loss and major life transition due to death, disability, illness, injury, gender identity, social injustice, and sexuality. At Hearth Place you can experience and explore the following modalities: Clay Field Therapy, Embodied Dream Exploration, Focusing Oriented Therapy, Nature Guided Eco-Therapy, and Sandplay Therapy. Hearth Place offers a unique wellness experience that combines embodied, expressive, playful, therapeutic approaches in a gorgeous natural setting. Engaging with imagination, creativity and play, we will rebuild connections and collaborative relationships with Self, Parts and Place in order to relearn, recentre and resource your own Belonging. My areas of experience include belonging, body positivity, disability, dreams, ecological distress, eco-spirituality, embodiment, end of life, gender affirming care, grief, hormone readiness, identity, illness, injury, inner conflict, loss, meaning, polyamory, purpose, queerness, selective mutism, sensory sensitivity, and sexuality. I emphasize a counselling philosophy and approach that strengthens your ability to access your own inner wisdom, voice and guidance - both within and beyond the counselling relationship. I accompany you in cultivating a renewed sense of awe, wonder, and belonging by helping you create deep relationships with Self and Nature.
