My name is Gabrielle Pereira and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). I am passionate about supporting couples, individual adults, and children and youth through their mental health journeys. My specializations include relationship concerns, communication issues, self-esteem, anxiety, and boundary setting. I am passionate about working with BIPOC, 2SLGBTQI+ community members, and other minority groups. I believe in tailoring my sessions to meet your unique needs, through a holistic approach that considers the sociocultural factors impacting your well-being.
My treatment approach typically includes Person-Centered Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). For couples therapy, I am certified in Gottman Method Level 1 and currently completing Level 2. I provide both in-person and online sessions to accommodate all clients’ preferences.
My goal is to foster a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space, where we can work towards your counselling goals. I believe in tailoring my counselling sessions to meet the unique and individualized needs of the client, specifically with a holistic approach by taking into consideration sociocultural factors that may be impacting their well-being.
I offer in-person counselling in Okotoks, Alberta, as well as virtual counselling sessions for clients located anywhere in Alberta, Nunavut, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
