Lisa O’Donovan
Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying)
I work with a variety of issues including c-ptsd, relational trauma, addiction, dysfunctional family dynamics, mens issues, attachment, relationship issues, self exploration and EFT couple work. Perhaps you feel unknown to yourself or others. Perhaps boundaries are challenging or you feel stuck in difficult relationship patterns that no longer serve you or that you don't understand. Perhaps you are being drawn to processing past hurts that are impacting the present. I have a special interest in working with childhood experiences, men's therapy, first responders, adult children of alcoholics & dysfunctional family dynamics.
I use an integrated strength-based psychodynamic approach in my work, focusing on client needs. I lean into an empowering, intersubjective, trauma-focused, attachment based, IFS informed, emotionally focused, relationally reparative and somatically connected lens to help empower the inner self and work toward processing. integration, self acceptance, self understanding and personal growth.
I am passionate about working with those living with the impact of relational trauma, families living with addiction, self-exploration and couples. I work mostly with adults. I have a special interest in working with men, first responders, older adults & adult children of alcoholics / dysfunction. I offer a safe, calm and gentle space to deepen self understanding and promote inner change.
