Michelle Cham
Student Therapist
Hi, I’m Michelle. I work with youth, young adults, and families navigating relationship challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained, therapy can offer space to heal and reconnect with your voice and sense of self.
My approach is person-centred and narrative-based, grounded in the belief that you are the author of your own story. Together, we can explore patterns that no longer serve you, and begin the process of building self-agency and meaningful change. I aim to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where your experiences are heard, respected, and valued.
As a second-generation Chinese-Canadian woman, I understand the complexities of navigating cultural identity and generational expectations. Balancing who you are with who you're expected to be can be difficult—especially when compounded by stress, burnout, or relational conflict. I bring curiosity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity into the therapy room, meeting you where you are with openness and care.
My background in the non-profit sector has shaped my compassionate approach to therapy. I’ve witnessed people face overwhelming challenges with strength and courage, and I believe in your capacity for resilience and healing. I focus on your strengths, and work collaboratively to support growth, connection, and change.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing volleyball, reading, and trying new restaurants with friends across the GTA. I believe that human connection is central to well-being, and I carry that belief into my work as a therapist.
If you’re ready to explore therapy, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. Let’s connect and see if it feels like the right fit.
