Golden Horizons Therapy Collective
About
Golden Horizons Therapy Collective was created through my own learning and experiences with relational trauma and grief. It’s the brain child of my own lived experiences through hardship, but also a testament to the power of healing through deep, meaningful connection. I’ve been blessed with many transformative relationships throughout my life, and Golden Horizons is a tribute to them.
Biography
My approach is authentic, approachable, and down-to-earth. As someone who’s struggled in my own relationships, but has also been invited to heal and grow in my own relationships, I firmly believe that to be connected is to feel well. This is the foundation of my practice – safe, trusting, authentic connection. I’m passionate about creating a space for you to be human, inviting all emotions to be held with curiosity and compassion. I also believe that humour and laughter can support you in fostering deep, meaningful relationship to self and others. I take on a deeply relational and embodied approach to therapy, that is conversational and exploratory. I work with you to step back into your body in a way that nourishes your nervous system and allows you to reconnect with yourself, others, and life around you. I work with teens, adults, and couples. A few of the areas I support are anxiety, relational challenges & trauma, nervous system support & emotional regulation, people-pleasing & boundaries, stress & burnout, ADHD/Neurodivergence, life transitions & grief, attachment, identity & self-exploration. On a personal note, outside of therapy I’m a human who feels deeply and laughs often. I love a good coffee and croissant combo, binge watching reality tv, hanging out with my three rescue dogs, traveling to new places, and exploring different forms of movement (right now I’m loving CrossFit and beach volleyball). Much of my work is drawn from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples. I regularly intertwine other modalities, including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory and somatic embodiment practices, Attachment Theory, Self-compassion, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
