Horace Spence

RSSW, Psychotherapist

Horace Spence, widely known as Coach Spence, is a wellness therapist, coach, and cultural educator dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families live balanced, empowered lives. As the founder of Coach Spence Wellness & Therapy Services, he blends professional counseling with culturally grounded practices that honor identity, family history, and holistic health. With a background that spans psychology, community work, culinary wellness, and trauma-informed care, Coach Spence brings a rare depth of knowledge and experience to his clients. His work is rooted in the belief that true healing must address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while also acknowledging the cultural and intergenerational dynamics that shape our lives. Coach Spence offers therapy and wellness coaching for those navigating stress, anxiety, conflict, and relationship challenges. He is also a skilled facilitator, known for his Empowered Family Dialogue workshop and wellness education sessions that have been delivered across schools, churches, and community organizations. His approach combines academic insight, lived experience, and culturally relevant strategies to help clients and communities build resilience, strengthen communication, and break harmful cycles. Beyond his practice, Coach Spence is an accomplished author and creator of The Wellness Blueprint book series, as well as a developer of digital wellness tools and resources, including the CoachSpence Wellness Assistant app. His commitment extends to culinary health through Hasco Kitchen, where food is connected to healing and culture. Driven by the philosophy that “healing is not just about recovery—it’s about growth and transformation,” Coach Spence continues to guide people toward healthier relationships with themselves, their families, and their communities.
