Kelly Love
FIFO Mental Health Therapist | Registered Clinical Counsellor | Licensed School Psychologist
Not all therapy happens within four walls. Some sessions start on a remote airstrip, at a FIFO worksite, down a dirt road, or along a backcountry trail—because mental health support should go wherever it’s needed. And that’s exactly where I go.
With over 20 years of experience, I’ve built a career that doesn’t fit inside four walls. As a registered clinical counsellor, licensed school psychologist, and certified teacher, my work takes me into FIFO job sites, government projects, remote communities, and classrooms; offering mental health services, psychoeducational assessments, and consulting where it’s needed most.
Psychoeducational assessments form a key part of this work—evaluating cognitive, academic, and functional profiles, while also screening for factors that may impact learning, behaviour, and mental health. The goal is clear, practical insight that informs diagnosis, guides intervention, and supports long-term success.
Meet Zipper! My Accredited Facility Dog and partner during select therapy sessions. Joined the practice in Spring 2025 after extensive training with Summit Service Dogs in Medicine Hat, AB.
I specialize in working with:
✔ Tradespeople & FIFO professionals – Navigating the mental load of shift work, isolation, and industry pressures.
✔ Students & schools – Providing psychoeducational assessments and mental health support to help students thrive.
✔ Government & industry leaders – Developing mental health strategies that actually work for high-demand environments.
Through Alfresco Therapy, I take a nature-informed, practical, and adaptable approach—because mental health support should fit real life, not the other way around. That means walk-and-talk sessions, tailored strategies for high-performance careers, and flexible telehealth services for those who need support no matter where they are.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me on a motorcycle, in the sky working toward my pilot’s license, or somewhere off the beaten path. The best conversations happen in motion—on the road, in the air, or out in the wild.
If you’re looking for a mental health professional who understands the realities of remote work, industry life, and the demands of high-performance professions, let’s connect. Because mental health support should be as strong and adaptable as the people it serves.
