Samantha Whittle
Registered Social Worker
I got my start over a decade ago working with survivors of sexualized violence and assault. I continue to be incredibly passionate about supporting people as they heal from trauma and the effects that it has, including triggers and dissociation. I am also a sex therapist with 15 years experience in the field. I believe that sex is about connection, play and liberation, and most of us could use more of that in our lives.
As a narrative therapist, I take a collaborative, client-centred approach to therapy. Everyone is a little different, so I offer tools and resources that seem to be a good fit for the person in front of me. I also work from a feminist, anti-racist, and trauma-informed framework, and integrate somatic and strengths-based approaches in my work.
I bring empathy, humour, and creativity to the therapeutic relationship, and strive to help people in feeling comfortable. I welcome questions about my approach so you can make sure I'm the right fit for you.
