Kiran Dhaliwal, MSc MC
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Psychology has intrigued me for as long as I can remember—I’ve always wanted to understand what shapes who we are. This led me to pursue post-secondary education in Psychology, Sociology, and Human Ecology. I have completed a MSc degree where I studied and researched intimate relationships/couples. I went on to work in non-profit child and adolescent mental health where I was mentored by clinicians from many disciplines working in this field. This led to me pursuing my MC which allowed me to register as a Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
I work with individuals, couples, teens, and parents to help you understand your emotions, find strength in vulnerability, and build resilience. With a compassionate, person-centered approach, I’ll support you through challenges like relationship strain, parenthood, or personal growth. Together, we’ll explore your unique journey, heal old wounds, and create the life and connections you truly deserve.
I enjoy using an attachment, compassion, and emotion focused lens in my work. I have training in Emotion Focused Therapy and Emotion Focused Family Therapy. I have advanced training in pregnancy, postpartum, and women's health concerns, and can help with issue including but not limited to: perinatal mental health, matrescence, identity shifts, the transition to motherhood/parenthood, relationship challenges after bringing home baby, infertility, endometriosis, PCOS, and pregnancy loss or termination.
My experience working in non-profit mental health and education have inspired my interest and passion in working with teens, couples, parents, and individuals. I enjoy supporting parents as they adjust to their parenting journeys or take on new challenges that come with parenthood. I also enjoy working with teens as they navigate this time of their life.
It is an honor to support those who are willing to come be vulnerable and sit in the therapy room and take this step towards their wellness.
