Scott Froom
Counselor
I am a mental health and addictions clinician with extensive experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, as well as clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and evidence-based, integrating CBT and trauma-informed practices to meet each individual’s unique needs.
I believe in fostering a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space, particularly for LGBTQ2S+ individuals, where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I am committed to gender-affirming, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive care, ensuring that all individuals—especially those from marginalized communities—receive support that respects their lived experiences. My work is deeply strengths-based, helping individuals harness their resilience while developing practical tools for emotional regulation, self-acceptance, and personal growth.
I have a strong passion for supporting neurodivergent and clients in areas such as identity exploration, executive functioning, sensory challenges, and self-advocacy. With a background in both clinical practice and education, I bring a dynamic, holistic perspective to counselling, blending therapeutic insight with psychoeducation to equip clients with the skills they need to thrive.
My goal is to walk alongside clients on their journey, providing the tools, understanding, and support necessary to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
