Brock Vaughan
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Many people I work with appear to be doing fine on the outside. On paper, life may look stable, yet internally there can be a sense of feeling lost, unfulfilled, or stuck in cycles of overthinking and self-criticism. You might notice familiar patterns repeating, a quiet restlessness, or a feeling of disconnection that is difficult to put into words. Talk therapy is a space to slow down and attend to these subtler tensions.
I work with clients who are not in crisis but feel that something important is missing or unresolved. My approach may be a good fit if you are interested in reflective, exploratory therapy rather than short-term skills-based approaches. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to understand your experiences. I believe lasting change grows out of awareness and affective insight, not quick fixes.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I received my clinical training through Martin Luther University College at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I completed a Master of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. Alongside my professional education, I hold a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Community Engagement, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Society, Culture and Environment, and a Diploma in Public Relations.
Beyond my clinical training, I am a published author and have worked in both post-secondary and elementary education. I also have a background in community-oriented research in contemporary studies and human geography, offering a unique psychological perspective on how the world around us shapes our experiences. I have received awards for my work in counselling, and most recently completed Narrative Practice trainings through the Dulwich Centre in Australia. I continue to expand my clinical perspectives through ongoing study at the C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago.
