Cara Lizzi
Provisional Psychologist, Canadian Certified Counsellor
Hello! Throughout my professional life I have had the opportunity to work with children, teenagers and adults who have struggled with issues such as grief and loss, depression and suicidal ideation, anxiety, interpersonal relationship difficulties, and self-esteem issues. I take a relaxed and non-judgmental approach in working with clients, in hopes that therapy will be as comfortable and organic as possible. I recognize that struggling from time to time is an inevitable part of life, and sometimes you just need a little bit of outside help, or a different perspective, while you work through the tough times.
I don't believe that therapy is one size fits all, so I try to tailor the approaches I use to the client I am seeing. I pull from approaches such as narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, CBT, person centred therapy, and play therapy. I am always willing to adjust sessions so that you feel you are getting the most out of our time together.
I'm so humbled to be able to connect with others while they are facing life's challenges. I would love to work with you on overcoming whatever struggles you are facing, and help you move towards a happier and more content life. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to book a session, I look forward to hearing your story!
