Liz Bostwick
Registered Psychotherapist
Are you struggling to manage life stressors? Are past experiences of trauma making it difficult for you to find peace and experience security in your relationships? Maybe your current coping skills have been vital to help you survive, but you have outgrown them and are seeking deeper healing and growth. Our work together will invite you to open the door to a better understanding of yourself and help you develop inner resources to make space for the joy and meaning in your life once again. I have a deep belief in the uniqueness of every person and my job as a therapist is to meet you where you are with curiosity and compassion.
This journey towards well-being is different for every person, and because of this I provide an integrative practice connecting mindfulness, somatic, narrative and emotion-focused therapies. I teach self-compassion, polyvagal resourcing and mindfulness practices in sessions to help you build skills to increase inner strength and emotional regulation.
My hope for our work together is to create a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive environment where you feel safe and supported. Showing up for yourself by getting to know your own story is a difficult but wildly meaningful journey and I would be honoured to walk alongside that journey with you
