Celia Yeung

Canadian Certified Counsellor, MC

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, lost or discouraged? If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, or other stressful challenges, I can help. I provide a safe, validating therapeutic space and will meet you where you are at. Together, we can explore and process the challenges you are facing at your pace. I am committed to offering you guidance, insights and strategies to help you feel better, more empowered and hopeful about your future. I practice from a collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed therapeutic approach. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals and may involve more than talking. When relevant and with your consent, I can integrate interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy, mindfulness practices or other approaches to support you in lasting positive change. We will work together to determine which modalities fit best with you. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have a B.A., B.Ed., and a Master's in Counselling and have taught at Vancouver schools as well as provided mental health support to adults, children, and teens in non-profit organizations for some years. At present, I am counselling in Vancouver schools and in a group private practice. I am passionate about and experienced in providing personalized and culturally responsive counselling services to adults, children, and youth who have various mental health and wellness concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, substance misuse, and trauma. I continue to take post-graduate professional development in therapeutic interventions (e.g., in CBT, DBT, relationship counselling, somatic techniques) and am a certified clinical trauma professional. Clients generally come to me looking for someone who gets what happened to them on a deeper level, as well as wanting practical tools and strategies to help them find relief and support them in improving their relationships and overall well-being. Important notes: * I offer individual counselling to adults, children (6+) and youth. * I provide in-person sessions in Richmond, BC and secure video sessions across BC. Currently, I have some weekday evening and weekend availability. * I charge $150 per 50 minute session. For clients without insurance and are on limited income, please inquire about sliding scale (reduced) fees. * I accept cash, credit card, and debit card payments. It takes a lot of courage to ask for support in challenging times. My goal is to help you live a more joyful life! Please email, text or call, if you have any questions or want to book a free 20 minute phone consultation. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you for reaching out.
