Celia Yeung

Canadian Certified Counsellor, MC

Are your anxiety, fears or other concerns getting in the way of you living your best life? If you are struggling with managing ADHD related symptoms, anxiety, depression, family/relationship conflicts, trauma or other stressful challenges , I can help. I provide a safe, validating therapeutic space and will meet you where you are at. Together, we can explore and process the challenges you are facing at your pace. I am committed to offering you guidance, insights and strategies to help you break negative patterns, feel better, more empowered and hopeful about your future. I practice from a collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed therapeutic approach. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals and may involve more than talking. When relevant and with your consent, I can integrate interventions from attachment-based therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness practices, or other approaches to support you in lasting positive change. We will work together to determine which modalities fit best with you. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have a B.A., B.Ed., and a Master's in Counselling and have taught at Vancouver schools as well as provided counselling/mental health support to adults, children, and teens from diverse backgrounds and learning needs in non-profit organizations for a number of years. At present, I am counselling in Vancouver schools and in a group private practice with 2 psychologists. I am passionate about and experienced in providing personalized and culturally responsive counselling services to adults, children (6+), and youth who have various mental health and wellness concerns. I continue to take post-graduate professional development in various therapeutic interventions (such as, in CBT, DBT, relationship counselling, somatic techniques) and am a certified clinical trauma professional. Clients generally come to me looking for someone who gets what happened to them on a deeper level, as well as wanting practical tools and strategies to help them break negative cycles, find relief and support them in improving their relationships and overall well-being. Important notes: * I offer individual counselling to adults, children and youth. * I provide in-person sessions in Richmond, BC and secure video sessions (using jane.app) across BC. Currently, I have weekday evening and weekend availability. * I charge $150 per 50 minute session. Please check with your employer or school to see if your insurance provides coverage for counselling services. For clients on limited income (e.g., university students), please inquire about sliding scale (reduced) fees for online sessions. * I accept cash, credit card, and debit card payments. It takes a lot of courage to ask for support in challenging times. My goal is to help you live a more authentic, joyful life! Please email, text or call, if you have any questions or want to book a free 20 minute phone consultation. I will get back to you within 1 business day. Thank you for reaching out.
