Jensen Pattinson
Clinical Intern Therapist: Pre-Licensed Professional
Jensen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) in 2017 and has since cultivated a strong background in the non-profit mental health sector. She began her career as a receptionist before advancing to a client care specialist role, where she provided essential support to diverse communities across Edmonton—including individuals experiencing homelessness, those in crisis, newcomers, and students. Her experience as a crisis line supervisor further strengthened her ability to offer empathetic, grounded support during life’s most challenging moments.
As an intern therapist, Jensen is known for her warm, non-judgmental, and adaptable approach. She integrates evidence-based techniques with genuine curiosity and, when appropriate, a touch of humour to create a safe and welcoming space for healing. Rooted in trauma-informed care, client centred principles, and an attachment-based framework, her practice acknowledges the deep impact of past experiences and relationships on present well-being. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, Jensen tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. She believes in exploring the connections between thoughts, emotions, and experiences to foster meaningful insight and empower individuals to take control of their healing journey.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin—that’s what we’ll explore together. My role is to support and guide you at a pace that feels comfortable, ensuring you feel heard, understood, and empowered every step of the way.
