I draw from CBT to assess and explore how your thinking, assumptions, and beliefs inform your mood and behaviours. I draw from Psychodynamic Therapy to explore your past, relationships, and defense mechanisms that you have adopted over the years. Lastly, and most importantly, I draw from various schools and techniques to match your unique situation. I treat you as the valuable individual you are, and I give you my full attention. Let's work together to make changes for the better. ___________ Dominic completed his B.Sc. in Life Sciences at McMaster University and an accelerated B.A. in Specialized Psychology at York University. He then completed his M.A. in Psychotherapy, Counselling, and Spirituality at Saint Paul University. He worked, volunteered, and participated in clinical placements in a private psychology clinic, a stroke rehabilitation ward, a psychiatric inpatient unit, bereavement camps, a university psychology resource centre, CAMH’s geriatric psychiatry research, St. Michael’s concussion clinic, and a neurological rehabilitation institute. He also completed research about concussions and mental health, and anhedonia. Dominic has gained a few years of experience as a therapist at an addiction rehabilitation centre, tackling addictions of all kinds (i.e., substances, gambling, pornography, sex). He is also currently involved in clinical research at CAMH about addiction.
