Charlie Gray
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Welcome to this space where we make room for what lies beneath the surface. My work with individuals often engages with the body-mind system to manage mental health struggles and support the healing process.
Sessions are collaborative so that we can find tools that work for you to self-regulate in order to move through the many challenges that life can bring. Our work together often includes mindfulness, the nervous system, cognitive strategies, breathwork, somatic experiencing, and nature.
My practice specializes in (but is not limited to) supporting those who struggle with physical symptoms such as muscle tension, headaches, IBS, chronic pain, burnout, exhaustion, etc. which are often related to or intensified by stress and trauma.
I will provide you with tools to enable you to cope with the challenges you are facing as we also make room for you to find and connect with the wisdom you already have within you. I will help you find your breath, find your footing, and gain tools to support your personal goals. Your needs are important, and this is a safe space where you can process your experiences.
This is a compassionate & safe space for you. My practice seeks to be trauma-informed, socially just, accessible, culturally responsive, & rooted in efforts to decolonize the practice of psychotherapy. I am open to accountability in these efforts. We will process collaboratively together as you move toward a deeper sense of balance, health, and connection.
We meet online so that this work is accessible to wherever you are!
My journey to psychotherapy has very much been inspired by my previous work in international human rights and local social work fields, as well as my experiences of healing and connection through the natural world. As a former Freediving instructor I have learned that relaxation is a skill that can be acquired and practiced, and can support coping with stress and anxiety. I will help you find your breath, and develop tools to support you on your personal journey.
In my personal life I love anything outdoors - hiking, camping, climbing, swimming - you name it! It is in these spaces, as well as through fostering healthy relationships and community, where I have found personal growth and healing. I find joy in helping make these spaces more accessible to others.
You are brave for seeking out support for yourself! I look forward to meeting you and possibly working with you along your own journey.
