About

Come as you are. Let's begin from there. I support individuals and couples navigating grief, chronic illness, trauma, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ experiences, polyamory/ENM, and life transitions. My approach is warm, trauma-informed, and rooted in genuine human connection, helping you reconnect with your strengths and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.

Biography

Come as you are. Let's begin from there. Life can feel heavy. You may be carrying grief that others don't understand, navigating a chronic illness that has changed your relationship with yourself, questioning who you are or where you belong, or feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to carry it alone. I'm Debbie Airth (she/they), a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and founder of E.A.S.E. Into Therapy. My work is informed by both professional training and lived experience navigating grief, chronic illness, identity, trauma, and life's unexpected transitions. I created this practice because I know how powerful it can be to have a space where you don't have to explain, defend, or hide parts of yourself in order to be understood. As an Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, and polyamorous therapist, I understand how important it is to feel safe bringing your full identity into the therapy space. My practice is especially affirming of LGBTQ+ communities, polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous relationships, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and those whose experiences have often been overlooked or misunderstood. I support individuals and couples navigating grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic illness and pain, identity exploration, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and major life transitions. Whether you're working through a specific challenge or trying to make sense of a season of change, therapy can offer a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with greater clarity. My approach is trauma-informed, identity-affirming, grief-literate, and rooted in genuine human connection. Drawing from somatic therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, DBT, mindfulness, and other evidence-informed approaches, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. I don't believe people are broken. I believe we all develop ways of surviving difficult experiences, and sometimes those strategies no longer serve us. Together, we'll explore your story with curiosity and compassion, build on your strengths, and create space for healing, growth, and meaningful change. You're not broken. You're becoming.
