Biography
"Problems" in our lives often try to lead us to focus solely on resolving or avoiding them at all cost. In both cases, we are forced to sacrifice other parts of ourselves as a result. However, the more we sacrifice, the more "problems" take up of our space and time, leading us to feel overwhelmed and trapped. Despite the pressure to immediately "fix" things, reconnecting instead with our values, core beliefs, needs and aspirations can help create alternatives to problem-saturated narratives and, ultimately, can lead us towards solutions. My counselling approach is strength-based and solution-focused. Our conversations will provide an empathetic, non-judgemental space for you to express and explore your preferred outcomes. This will allow us to identify new and established ways you defy and resist "problems", while re-writing a deeper and richer narrative of your life and journey. My practice is founded on the belief that people are not their “problems”, and that they are greater than the sum of the events in their lives. You've already taken the hardest step in looking for help, let's take the next one together.
