Biography
Hi, my name is Mirlande, and I'm your millennial social worker and therapist just out here building solutions, playing language games, and turning pain into purpose. As a racialized adoptee and queer woman raised in a small town in Northern Ontario, it took me some time to understand the person I identify with today. Learning to understand myself, is an everyday process. My work is essentially meant to train you how to become a master of your own mind. In short, I work in neuroplasticity, the capacity of our brains to reorganize and adapt. I use neurolinguistic change-focused interventions that are useful to you. My best hope is that your experience with RRT is a time well spent. I work with people and not their problems. So the question, "Does solution-focused therapy work with (insert problem)?" is always a difficult one to answer. However, I can tell you that in my practice, I help people find peace, a sense of purpose, focus on what matters to them, heal, feel better, and live authentically within themselves.
