Biography

If you’re reading this, I believe there's a part of you that yearns for some positive change in your life. I also believe that I can help you get there; together. ​I have over 12 years of experience in community mental health through which I’ve encountered folks from all walks of life and I’m certain of one thing: we all want to feel heard and be seen. ​We all hold many titles and these can often feel heavy at times. For me, I'm a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, wife and friend. Our respective journeys can be full of all kinds of experiences which can often include trauma, stress, grief, anxiety, feelings of depression and cause us to question how to move forward. Psychotherapy does not root itself in concrete answers, but rather cultivates a space in which we can safely enter and present these woes to another human being. ​In my practice, I cultivate a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their innermost thoughts and emotions. However, I also gently challenge longstanding patterns that may be hindering personal growth. Viewing the therapeutic setting as a microcosm of the real world, I offer insightful reflections with deep care, guiding clients toward self-awareness and positive change As a child of immigrant parents, I struggled to mesh my two worlds and maintain a happy balance between western and eastern values. With a culturally competent lens and various theoretical approaches, my hope is that we can work together to help you establish meaningful change in your life. In the end, I want everyone to feel like they belong.
