Teresa Mykytuik

With over 14-years of experience working as a first responder, I returned to school to complete my Masters in Counselling Psychology in order to help those that help others. I first worked as a Youth Service Officer for 5-years, and after a year of being a counsellor, I became an Ambulance Communications Officer, a career that lasted me almost 10-years. With over 5-years of providing therapy, I attempt to use the approaches that best match an individuals needs while staying in my scope of practice. I have training in cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, distress tolerance, and I have earned a trauma certificate from Wilfrid Laurier. I have experience working with individuals' experiencing symptoms as a result of workplace stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, and relationship issues.
