Jonathan Samosh
Therapist
I provide therapy and assessment services for adults and couples experiencing psychological, emotional, and relational concerns. These can include anxiety, depression, anger, emotion regulation, effects of trauma and abuse, low self-esteem, identity development, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, and personal growth.
We will work together to identify your goals for therapy and develop a plan to pursue them. I integrate various evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment approaches into my practice based on your needs, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioural therapies.
I am currently completing my PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa. I provide psychological services under the supervision of Dr. Lila Hakim, C.Psych. at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships. I have experience providing psychological services in hospital, university, community, and private practice settings. I have published scientific research articles and presented at conferences on various topics in psychology, including community mental health, psychosis, human sexuality, and organizational behaviour. I also teach an undergraduate course in psychopathology at the University of Ottawa.
