Nicole Ricketts

I’m a Licensed Counselling Therapist and Founder of Therativa, a tele-therapy practice offering trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware psychotherapy for adults across New Brunswick. I create a calm, grounding space where you can slow down, breathe, and be met exactly as you are — without pressure to perform or “have it all together.” My work draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), polyvagal-informed, and somatic approaches, with a palliative and relational lens. I support adults whose nervous systems have learned to stay on high alert — often through trauma, chronic stress or illness, injury, neurodivergence, caregiving, or years of holding responsibility for others. Many of my clients function well on the outside, yet feel internally braced, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their own sense of ease. Therapy with me is collaborative, paced, and embodied. Together, we focus on building safety, understanding how your system learned to adapt, and gently moving from survival patterns toward greater regulation, presence, and steadiness.
