Taylor Bourassa
Registered Psychotherapist & Registered Art Therapist
I take a whole person approach, meaning that we look at your past, family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, the systems you live and work in, and your own personal beliefs and values to get a whole picture and fuller understanding of you and your needs.
I combine art therapy, nature therapy and talk therapy to help you explore the reasons you are coming to therapy, to uncover what it is you need and to move into change or acceptance through compassion and understanding. Some of the frameworks I incorporate are: humanistic/existentialist, IFS/Inner child work, psychodynamic and compassion focused.
I understand that everyone has their own story and I want to hear yours: and if there are parts you aren't yet sure of, I want to help you discover and share them. Using your voice can be an empowering thing, and if you've lived a life where your voice has often been silenced I want to help you re-find it.
I incorporate your special interests into therapy because I believe that you should have access to therapy that is uniquely tailored to you. Video games, art creation, fandoms, literature and anime/manga are some examples, but I would love to hear about your personal special interests!
