Manisha Grewal
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Living with anxiety or depression can feel overwhelming and isolating. The racing thoughts, constant worry, or heavy fog of low mood can make even simple daily tasks feel impossible. Many people describe feeling like they’re “going through the motions” while carrying an invisible weight. I understand how exhausting it can be to hold these struggles alone. Therapy offers a calm, supportive space where your feelings are validated, and your voice truly matters. Together, we’ll focus on practical tools to ease the weight of anxiety and depression in the present, while also exploring the deeper patterns, experiences, and emotions that may be contributing to your pain. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, hopeful, and connected to yourself and your life.
For many people, finding a therapist who truly understands their cultural background can be a challenge. As a South Asian therapist, I bring the richness of three cultures, four languages, and the rare perspective of being both a first- and third-generation immigrant. These lived experiences allow me to deeply empathize with the immigrant journey across generations, as well as the ways culture, family expectations, and identity can shape mental health. No matter your background or story, I aim to meet you with genuine understanding, respect, and compassion.
How I Work
When you step into therapy with me, you’ll find a calm, safe, and judgment-free space where your voice is central. I will listen closely, honour the wisdom you already carry, and collaborate with you to create a plan that aligns with your personal goals and values. We will move at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with adults (18+) on a wide range of concerns, including:
Anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout
Low motivation, self-doubt, and perfectionism
Self-esteem and identity issues
Relationship and trust concerns
Attachment-based and intergenerational trauma
Life transitions and major changes
ADHD, neurodivergence, and mood disorders
Many clients come to me seeking not just relief from symptoms, but also a deeper understanding of themselves — how past experiences and trauma have shaped their worldview, patterns of responding, and sense of self. Therapy is a space to reflect, grow, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Inclusive & Culturally Sensitive Care
I have worked with individuals from many cultural, spiritual, and religious backgrounds, and I always strive to tailor therapy to each person’s unique context. I proudly stand as an ally to LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, offering an inclusive and affirming space where every part of you is welcome. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and culturally sensitive — never one-size-fits-all. In every session, I prioritize creating a sense of safety so you can feel secure enough to explore, heal, and thrive.
My Approach
I integrate evidence-based modalities including existential therapy, parts work (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches combine practical strategies for managing immediate distress with deeper exploration of identity, patterns, and meaning. This balance allows us to work not only on easing symptoms in the moment but also on creating lasting growth and resilience.
Embarking on Your Therapy Journey
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. Throughout this process, I will always recognize that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and guide you on your terms. If my approach resonates with you, I encourage you to reach out and take that first step. Starting therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to answer any questions you may have, and when you’re ready, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your path toward healing and wholeness.
