Biography

Providing support for people moving toward healing and justice matters deeply to me as a Black woman. Before becoming a somatic-oriented therapist, I worked in shelters, community health, social services, sexual and reproductive health clinics, and higher education. I also spent time at a BIPOC recruitment firm, partnering with leaders across Canada and the U.S. on leadership development and equity-focused hiring practices. Now, as a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I support individuals seeking focused care around burnout, their relationship to money, dating, 2SLGBTQ+ relationships, racial trauma, and friendship breakdowns. I also offer support for couples and duos navigating communication challenges, trust issues, shifting relationship roles, or looking to explore narratives around money. I am also a Trauma of Money Certified™ practitioner, which means that I can work with narratives around money, worth, giving and receiving and how our individuals stories connect to generational and systemic messages. As a feminist counsellor, I prioritize exploring power dynamics and creating space to acknowledge how social systems impact mental health. My approach is rooted in social justice, integrates somatic practices, and honors the complexities of intersectional identities. I work collaboratively, helping clients re-author their stories and reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies.
