Michael Greene
Registered Psychotherapist
I have been a psychotherapist for 35 years. I believe that many people do not know who they are. They believe how they were defined by the people around them, specifically their families. In my career I find that many difficulties such as depression, stress, anxiety and addiction originate from a poor self image.
I have been trained in many facets of therapy including addiction, ptsd, depression and relationships.
I have learned that an essential part of successful psychotherapy comes from the relationship between the person I work with and myself. A safe, affirming relationship enables a person to be free to express themself in an honest manner.
I use a number of resources in my work according to the abilities and learning styles of the people I work with. These include Emotionally Focused Therapy, Parts Therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT and Psychodynamic Therapy.
I conduct therapy sessions in a relaxed manner where we are 2 equal people in exploration together.
I love my work and I am continually amazed by the depth and goodness of the people I work with.
