Carolyn Holmes
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I’m Carolyn, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and I’m here to support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s emotional and relational challenges. Whether you’re coping with stress, ADHD, grief, mood changes, or communication difficulties, I offer a safe, compassionate space where your experiences are heard and respected. Together, we’ll work to better understand what you’re going through and build practical, personalized tools to help you feel more confident, connected, and in control.
My journey into psychotherapy began in community recreation, where I developed inclusive after-school programs rooted in play, resilience, and belonging. Working across many of Toronto’s diverse communities shaped my approach and deepened my belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported. My background in both recreation and psychology helps me bring a unique, holistic lens to the therapeutic process.
I have a special interest in supporting individuals who are grieving, navigating PCOS and fertility challenges, or processing early parental loss. I also work closely with clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation. I understand how deeply these issues can affect self-esteem, relationships, and our sense of stability.
I offer therapy to couples, families, and individuals (teens, adults, seniors) and focus my practice on deep, helpful talk therapy.
My approach is grounded not only in formal training but in lived experience. I’ve personally faced anxiety and ADHD throughout my life, and experienced later-onset depression in adulthood. These experiences allow me to show up authentically and empathetically in the therapy room. I know how isolating these struggles can feel, and it’s important to me that therapy feels like a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your full self.
